LCD
(Digital Light Processing) printers have a panel made up of the eponymous LCDs. These displays consist of pixels that light up individually and thus harden a layer (layer) at the same time.
With DLP, the light from a source is thrown onto the display via thousands of tiny mirrors. In the end, the entire layer is cured at the same time (unlike the actual SLA printing, in which a laser irradiates each point individually).
In the FDM process, a plastic thread is melted and applied again in thin layers, which then cool down again.
